after reading about off set and back spacing i think i have it figured out. BUT!!! i would like it if someone could check my math.

8.5 inch wide wheel with a 25mm offset = 3.27" of backspace and if i have that math right and have understood what i have read on here i should be able to run a 32" tire with out need to get spacers. right?

here is the wheel i am looking at http://wheelsbymbmotoring.com/product.p ... te%20Black

Since its positive offset, I believe its actually 5.25" of backspacing.

hmm well if that is the case then i believe it would be a 1/4" off of clearing a 32" tire. Damn it!!!!

It all depends on the tire width. If it didn't fit, I'm sure you could get some 1/4in spacers.

With the wider rim, you might find less sidewall bulge on your chosen tire, which could offset the 1/4" backspace problem. It's probably one of those buy it and try it cases.

I really like those wheels, both in black and silver, and the price is very good. It's great to see another option for our platform.

I emailed MB wheels yesterday, and got a reply today. Unfortunately, the answer wasn't what I wanted to hear; their products are not sold here in Canada. :-(

Given their prompt response to my query, you might consider an email to them to ask for the actual backspacing measurement (hint, hint).
