disconnecting the last trailing arm, rear end rolled back and off a jack stand. i had the spring decompressed but not out yet so that made some noise.

only real damage was to the backing plate on the side that dropped but another set of hands to hold and watch things would of helped

I took a flap wheel to mine and hit it with some filler primer before they cut and shortened it. Yeah, it took of the paint down there, but it still looks goood and he was able to balance it with the thicker coat of paint on it.

Dennis, why didn't you call? I would have been up there.

Well, when I put on the 35s I made some temporary fender flares. So I cut them off, ground down the rivits, welded in the holes, slapped on some mud and primed the edges. Don't know if I am going to just get new fenders and run the biggest tire I can fit, or keep the fenders I got and run the 35s and use fender flares for a jeep. Also tomarrow I am dropping it off the have the transmission rebuilt.what should I do? Also I am thinking of putting on tow mirrors from a full size.

There's posts on here alluding to some jeep fender flares working with some mods, there's also a few guys that have done the "tow mirrors/dumbo mod" on here.

I believe I gave myself a reason to get Barton's bumper kit. I did it when I was coming off of a mountain trail.

I checked that my spare tire winch still works OK, and checked the pressure of the spare while I had it out, added 10 lbs to bring it up to 35 psi, and finally checked to see if the cable chains from my Sierra 3500 would fit the stock 245/65/17s. They won't, of course, the chains are much too big, so I'll have to buy a set to fit. I might hold off till I get the lift done and mount larger tires, so I don't wind up with a set that's too small for whatever tires I upgrade to.

Photograped the headlamp relay. Yes, it's broken. Yes, I replaced it.

Changed oil over the weekend and rotated tires. Dropped the skid plate and looked like squirrels had built a nest, massive pile of leaves from the last outing. Found that my bull bar is not reasonably repairable, the core bracket folded in pretty good. It'll just have to ride until I can get a rad skid. While changing oil, found my outer diff seal is starting to leak and the passenger CV boot slung grease. Boot isn't torn, looks like it pressed past the boot lip. Going to keep an eye on it. Hoping I can get a 4.10 swap in before that seal lets go, but we'll see.
