Oh well shit, aren't I the asshole for not seeing this. Sorry. Moved into new place, just got internet yesterday.

Well.... Hmmm. At least it's far enough out for me to procrastinate. I'll have to work some verbal judo on my Sgt to see if I can switch some dates around for that monday off. Also gotta see if I'm on the on-call list for that weekend. If I can't get that monday off, the liklihood of my attendance is very low. Still being new with this agency, I must tread carefully.

My biggest fear being that something on my rig will break, and I won't be able to make it back to work on time.

So, are you trying to get time off for the 12th or 19th?

19th is out of the question. I'd need to get 4 days off if i did that, which is not possible.

for the 12th, i'd only need to get one day covered, which is feasible.

I'd like to move this to October 12th. I've had a wedding pop-up that I need to attend if possible. Hopefully being more than a month out still works for everyone.

Wink seemed to be the only one opposed and I've cleared it with him.

Update your name on the list!

The 12th may be do-able actually. Need to check with preggo, as keeping her happy is numero uno with the Nov 1 due date.

I have the OK for the 12th, but if there is anything weird with the pregnancy...I won't hesitate to back out. However, I am excited to make this trip.

Can I be put as a "Maybe"

Ordering lift Monday...as long as I can get the lift and some spacers I should be good for this.
Never should have taken my 2.5" lift off, but come Monday 3" will be ordered.

Being 300 miles away from me....I will likely head down after on the 11th and camp in the TB somewhere down in the area. May or may not stay Saturday night.

Any requirements I need to know about?

- Fees
- Pass/permit
- Flag
- Actual place to meet up
- Any outside the TB world attendees?

a bit of reading...http://www.landbetweenthelakes.com/images/turkey-bay-ohv-rules-regulations.pdf

Here's the highlights...

Camping -
- $8 per night, primitive at Turkey Bay OHV Area
- If several are coming up the night before, I could come on out Friday night as well.
- Other formal campgrounds available in LBL.

Fees - I've bought the 1-3 day in the past...It's more than worth it to upgrade to the annual for me...
- Annual Permit: $60 (Valid April 1 of year purchased to March 31 of following year. Available March 1.)
- 7-Day Permit: $30 (Valid for seven consecutive days after date of purchase.)
- 1- to 3- Day Permit: $15 (Valid for three consecutive days after date of purchase.)

Flag - NONE

Actual Place to Meet Up -
- Checkin Shack N36°45.072' W88°04.229' (coordinates from itsajeep.org website)
- There's generally a large crowd and you'll see a Trailblazer parked in a sea of jeeps. That'll be me.
:flex dirty:

Other Attendees - confirmed
- Wasted Trails 4x4 Magazine - Misty Crice, Roger Mickan (XJ)
- Forever Forgiven Offroad - Matt Holey (YJ), Brandon Meeks (Rubicon),

Other Attendees - potential
- Forever Forgiven Offroad - Derek Rothrock (XJuggy), Johnathan Rogers (TJ)

So...the Wasted Trails Magazine backed out on the ride. They're going to be highlighting an open wheeling day at Washita instead. :wallbash:

For the ones that come...we'll still have a great time. :flex dirty:

Any more coming?
