Radflo Custom OEM replacement Coilovers

Wow...I've been off the site for a while now...my daughter was driving the TB to school and didn't want anything done to the truck. So everything I've bought already, is still in my garage. I was thinking that was too bad, until I got on the other day and found out about this Radflo coilover option. Now, I'm thinking maybe waiting was a good thing.

The TB is going to the boy, now that the girl is graduating and will be off the Texas Tech, so I'm back in the TB game!

Thus far, it seems that everyone that has gone this route is thrilled...other than the 1000 dollar cost, anyone found anything to complain about?

I think MarkMC sells the rear spacers separately.
Depending on how much lift you get in the front, Z71 springs might also be enough to level it out if you need more support in the rear.

The skyjackers will give you 4 inches of lift in the rear, with no spacers. If you want to go zero spacers with the Radflo's. The downside is, as JamesDowning pointed out, they are not variable rate like springs like the Z71 and will actually sag as you start to load up your truck with more stuff. That's pretty unappealing to me.

But if you like a soft velvet ride like HARDTRAILZ does , then you might be happy with them.

I would love to go that route if the springs where stiffer.

Well to be 100% clear, all springs will sag, the difference is that the skyjackers are a linear spring rate - put on x weight, get k*x sag. The Z71 springs are non-linear, so they stiffer as you add more weight. So for example purposes, put on 100lbs of weight and it might sag 1", put on 200 lbs of weight and it might sag 1.5" - whereas a linear spring would sag 2" with 200 lbs of weight.

Mike, I'm also not certain that the skyjackers are softer springs. They seem to have a smaller wire, but they also have less coils, which might totally negate the effect of the smaller wire.

And don't forget you can get Airlift1000 helper bags to fit almost ANY spring. Haven't checked into the Skyjackers, but I used them in both OEM and Avalanche springs.

If I had it would have been long gone. I used to blow out Airlift1000 bags on OEM springs until I discovered Z71 springs and upsized the bag to go with it.

The luxury offroad vehicles with adjustable air ride on all four wheels can have "dial-a-height" controls, but I doubt they are robust enough for the Rubicon.
