Looks great Mike! Have you tested a full speed extension? Mine bent my bracket and pulled the strut out of the connector by stripping the threads the one time I did that. It was an oops moment.

Yeah, I did... It didn't mess anything up (even without the nuts in addition to the tapped holes), but it wasn't as nice and slow as I would have liked...

That looks simply amazing. Incredibly impressive work!

Man what I would give for a shop and the tools to take on my project the right way. Hopefully in a few more years I'll get a place and a new car so the truck can afford the downtime. Then its front suspension design time, and I'll see what I'm actually capable off, I'll cross my fingers that I know half as much as I think I do from my years of reading and I'll be plenty happy if my projects come close to as good as your do.

I did? Great. Kidding. When can we start to order these, and what kind of timeline would I be looking at? I'm thinking my front bumper and skids are close to 2 months out still. I'll have the lights to you in the next couple of weeks.

How's this going to mount up? Any pics of the mounting? Since my BL my frame is notched, will that have any affect on the mounting of this? And can the carrier be ordered with the 6x5.5 spacing?

Frame notching is fine. Mine is notched. My spare is 6x5.5.

great. I actually used the " ears" that had to be cut off the inside of the bumper to fit up against the notches with the welded nuts on it, inside the frame and reused the stock bolts. That way I didn't have to fish new nuts inside it. was still a PiTA, but it worked none the less.

Also would there be any fitment issues with the 06 lt like in the case of the front bumper?

The LT will be the same. There are no differences in the frame, lift-gate, or fenders.

You can order anything, any time. Skids I'm still working in within a month, but bumper lead time is currently around 6 months from deposit, based on the orders I have in the que... PM me for specific information like this.

I also want to thank you for doing your build thread on the rear bumper. It gave me a big-time heads up on some potential problems, as well as material choice and general design. I was able to look at yours and see what I liked and didn't like, and the parts I wanted to make similar and the parts I wanted to change. Looking at yours and James' (and talking to James) took a solid week off the design/build time of this!

Mike how much weight is the front bumper and the rear bumper? .. i have a good freight forwarder to germany..

Front is around 100# (up to ~140# or so, if there's tube on it like this: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hp ... 3679_n.jpg), and rear is less than 200#, I think...

For reference, also, radiator skid is 65# and oil pan skid is 19#.
