Well, as I may have mentioned before, I accidentally packed and shipped my camera. So almost no pics were taken of the offroading portion. But the pics I do have are from the "touristy" stops.
Pretty much ALL of eastern CA, AZ, NM, and western TX was one big wind/sand/rain storm. So that sucked as far as scenery goes. Got some benefits once the wind was at my back, but for the most part it was a 90degree offset wind gusting up to 55-60kts. Enough to push the windows out of the upper track. My best tank of gas averaged 17.3mpg, the worst averaged ~13.4mpg.
This is TX... Looked alost like AZ.. and NM... and eastern CA...
This is when I had the sweet tail wind
This was the final report for the entire trip

One of the street performers on Bourbon St in New Orleans. He just stood there. Very cool...
Great trip, the GPS's fuel cost estimation was relatively close based on all the varying factors I encountered. I totaled $814 in gas and the gov't reimbursed me ~$670. I'll be sending in my travel claim as far as lodging, and hoping to get that back, too.
