Look what the guy in the brown truck brought me this afternoon.
I stopped by Advance Auto and picked up a few 1 1/4 3/8 bolts with locking nuts.
They need a little cleaning and maybe a coat of flat black and they'll be good to go.
Hopefully I get it installed tomorrow!

No need for paint... they'll just get dirty again.

You pick those up from someone on here?

LOL, there are some places the paint is knocked off and I just want to slow down any rust. I got them from a guy on the OS Jwobbema, unsure if he is on here or not. He said something about it being his wife's truck or something and she didn't like it being lifted.

LOL, no problem. I understand especially if you don't have an answer right away, there is nothing flashing a reminder at you. We can take the rest to PM to keep this thread clean.

I sprayed everything with PB Blaster on Tuesday and then again this morning. I'll either start on the front this afternoon or maybe Monday afternoon if I don't get to it today.

Where'd you leave your front fenders?

I took them off to cut them up so as my tires will stuff nicely and not hit.

These size tires aren't advised for such a small lift as you have to cut fenders, hammer and cut your wheel wells a lot.

Karo, you have a nice build, I like how you added the winch and tire carrier but was able to keep the factory bumper covers.

I also see I can get unpainted bumper covers off of ebay reasonable. If I decide to make any mods, I might keep my factory covers and use the ebay knockoffs for any mods.

Thanks, the Reason here is that i couldn´t get Metal Bumpers shipped from the US for a good price. It is too expensive. Building a Metal Bumper seem´s to be the way, but then it has to be approved to be street legal. These kind of Tests are also expensive. So for me it´s the way to go with the plastic bumper covers.

Ouch, Mike.. No not so far, finding a fab guy is difficult. Only one Company that could make it but the price
In June is a trade show which is called "Abenteuer Allrad", hope to find some new contacts and there is also a meet of the German Members from the "Offroad-forum.de"
some of these guys are very helpful.

We have enough military members here, does anyone have friends that are stationed in Germany? It would be alot cheaper to ship this to an APO address, and then have it picked up somewhere there in country. Just a thought....

Thanks. It was tighter under there than I had hoped. But I managed to fit all the relays under the console. The bottom two are already pre run and terminated for when I get the rest of the lights and the basket. All I will have to do is connect the power to the switches and relays.

we went to the beach yesterday evening, our first trip after lifting the TB. It made a huge difference in the ride. No more bottoming out on the ruts.
