The BDS suspension lift completely gets rid of the upper shock mounting method and provides a single lifting component made of powdercoated steel. This block lifts the spring, and also readjusts the upper shock mounting point to provide a bit more downward articulation. It provides improved shock mount bushings that resists the wear and tear of heavy duty use.

Front 2" Strut Mount
Rear 2" Coil Mount

This system includes two new upper strut mounts that replace the factory upper stut mount. The one piece mount increases the pre-load of the strut as well as increases the over all length of the strut assembly. The rear is lifted via two upper coil spring mounts. New rear 5500 series shocks are also included in the kit.

The Rough country is essentially a copy of the BDS kit, however it seems to be made of lighter-gauge metal. It appears to utilize an improved upper-shock mount also.

***The Ready Lift is an easy-bolt-on unit, and does not require taking the strut apart. For that reason, this lift can be dangerous and should not be installed on a 4x4. This lift is acceptable for 2WD vehicles only. This lift will over extend the inner CV joint angle, and cause major driveline issues on a 4x4.

It has been found that GM offered many different springs with the GMT-360 platform. By installing a higher spring rate coil, you would lift the stance of the vehicle because of the higher stiffness of the spring.

Alternative Springs (Rear)

We have learned that 2007-2012 Tahoe Z71 rear coil springs actually work in our vehicles. The springs are stiffer and provide ~1.5" of lift in the rear only, however are the same uncompressed length as the stock trailblazer springs.

** Skyjacker Softride Coil Springs - C25R



We now know that the Skyjacker Softride Coil Spring, designed for the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon, C25R, effectively gives our vehicles approximately 4" of lift over stock in the rear. This is a great way to get maximum lift in the rear without spacers.

The Zone body lift lifts the body in relation to the frame. This 2" body lift is perfect to add that little extra tire clearance that you need. The system relocates the front and rear bumpers to maintain a factory look. Grade 10.9 body bolts are included along with Zone Offroad's Crush-Proof body blocks. Zone bought this kit from BDS.

Airlift 1000 bags allow the user to adjust the spring constant of their rear springs. This means the user can 'preload' the bags with pressure, to counteract a heavy load or trailer tongue weight. It also can provide lift, but also stiffens the springs.
