It goes directly into the open 7.2" carrier (what we have). I have a pinion seal that's leaking so I'm going to need to get to my front diff at some point anyway. Locks up when power is applied from the prop shaft, releases when there's no power. They aren't known for being super bullet proof, but for sub 300hp, 4.10 gears and never seeing over 34" tires or so I'm willing to give it a go.
I think there was a very brief discussion on the OS about using it, but nothing ever came of it. I guess I'll get one and if I drop front diff bits all over the dirt I'll let you guys know.
