New to me ‘02 in NC

I just picked up a new to me 02 TB standard length. It has the 3.42 gears and no G80. Looking to get it on 32s via 3” lift and spacers, probably stock wheels, homemade sliders and tube doors. It’s a backup vehicle/toy so won’t be daily drive .

I am rocking the same setup that looking to do with the 3.42 w/o G80. I run slightly big rims then most on here but don't do as much extreme trails as some do but I am on 285/55/20 which is a 32.7" tire. I am on a 3" front 2" rear lift with 1.25" wheel spacers all around.

Looking forwards to see your take on slider and tube doors!

Awesome-that’s a cool setup-looks good!

Only mods I’ve done so far are emblem removal, remove the exhaust resonator, and plastidip the wheels, trailblazer side emblems, and front grill. My dad owns a welding/fabricating business so hence the sliders and doors.

I would really like rock sliders but don't have the ability to weld and don't want to buy a welder just to weld on a set. Might start looking for a shop near by me to weld a set on. Hoping it's not too much money.

I agree about the sliders, as for the welder I am looking to buy one so I can learn to weld and avoid dropping big bucks on a rollcage and mikes bumpers (sorry mike). I’d rather design my own special set anyway.

Well I pulled the rear sway bar-only took like 3-4 hours. When the nuts are frozen on the end links and sway bar brackets, it’s not a fun job. Between the resonator and rear sway bar though I think my TB is 50lbs lighter!

Got the front doors off today-they’re pretty heavy. Took it for a quick spin and it definitely felt different. Hope to start on the doors in next few weeks.

Got my lift and wheel spacers on order, and brackets made for tube doors. The pipe is laying in the shop so hopefully doors will be complete in next few weeks!
