I didn’t know where else to put this but I was interested in relocating the air box farther up so as too make finding a snorkel easy

If you figure it out please let me know! I have the snorkel, but have been debating the air filter box for a couple months now and it just cost me a motor.

My idea has been to 90 the intake pipe into the wiper cowl.
Getting to the filter would be fun, but since I've been in some deep stuff and never sucked water into my vents, it's gotta be better than nothing. Plus, if the water is deep enough, you're gonna short out the electronics under the hood anyway...

there isn't room for a filter inside the cowl, and that only gives you about another 1 above the ground. The snorkel I have in place already, my problem is deciding on an air box that will serve my needs.

I know Nate Schroeder is using a k&n apollo intake but he removed the stock window washer reservoir and coolant replaced with smaller units.

I have had this filter box sitting in the garage for 6 months, it is huge though! AC is a requirement in my truck so I am trying to figure out my available real estate for it. I have been toying with the idea of making my own using aluminum with a plexi top.

I figured it was big to work with that engine, but I wouldn't think it's particularly oversized for ours. I have never seen one in person though. Agreed, gotta keep the AC... although getting rid of it might solve my overheating...

I bet you got years of mud packed in the condenser and radiator. I pulled the front apart last year and had a ton from the little wheeling I have done to date. I separated condenser from the radiator and made a attachment to garden hose with flared 90 so I could get all the way down. Also add some wetter water to the coolant. Could also abe few other items like water pump but I am sure you have ruled them out already.

Thanks guys I will keep searching for a way to relocate the air box as it is a big concern. Haha I can’t afford a fresh engine.
