So this trip is going to have a lot of highway driving with off road camping. First Leg will be mostly highway from Boise Idaho to Utah. Planning on finding a remote area to camp off in the sticks. Two days to explore and ride around then of to Northwestern Arizona. from there I will have a few days to tool around then off to Disneyland for the kiddos. After all that I will make my way down to the southern end of California to a magical place call Glamis. Im unsure of the miles but its going to be around 2500 miles round trip with what ever detours I may come across.

Last night sat down and went threw a few things I'm going to need to do the trip. First thing is front shocks. They popped the other day while flipping the UCA's so there is that. Second would be a tent. I looked threw my camping stuff and found I had a old school tent that sleeps like 10 people but no fixtures to hold it up or set it up. Just a few things and update.

New tent showed up! The wife wasn't happy that I set it up right in front of the TV but that is what I do :D The new shocks also showed up. I stalled those and the new spare tire from Craigslist. (its in my build section) While putting the shocks in I noticed the EOP sensor leaking so fixed that while I was there. Hopefully this will be the last of the repairs before I head out.

Picked up a really nice motorcycle carrier today for my trip. Test fit and drive today to see if everything is good. You can even see the tail light threw the wheels of the bike.

Update. I installed Z71 Tahoe springs that were recommended in the lift section of the forum. I'm glade I did! I loaded up the Trailblazer tonight with all the kiddo stuffs, wife stuffs, and my camping gear, :camping: They are all flying down, while I get to take a beautiful drive across a few states. There is not a place to sit except behind the steering wheel. Plus the bike. The trail blazer has a tiny bit of squat but not as bad as a stock rear spring would. Also 2 hours before I'm off work the 4.10 gear set I ordered shows up :wallbash: I though I might be able to slam the front diff together for tomorrows trip, but decided to wait till I get back. I will have a computer with me but doubt I will have any kind of service where I'm going :safari: So good night all Im up at 3 AM to hit the road!

So I finished my trip. Few things were changed along the way. I ended up leaving the Trailblazer in Arizona, Mom bought a New Chevrolet Equinox and wanted to take that to California to Disney Land and over to Glamis. Also the day before I leave my 4.10 gears for the front diff showed up! I didn't have time to install them so this trip went without 4 wheel drive. Fuel mileage was good. I set the cruise at 70mph with the bike on the carrier and headed south to Utah. I went from winter blend fuel getting 15.5 mpg to regular blend getting up to 17.9. I did find a few two track trails once I got into Arizona and roamed around the Mohave desert. The return trim I ended up renting a U-haul trailer 5x8 out side of Las Vegas I had a head wind and up hill climb on U.S. 93 north to Ely NV. I got 12.3 mpg fuel light came on a long ways away from Ely. Thankfully the trailblazer was still running when I got to the summit on the 6 into Ely. I filled the trailblazer 18.56 gallons. I was about to run on sail boat fuel! Other than I seen some beautiful country, sunsets, sunrises, and such. Here are pictures from the trip. Not so much off road but still fun to travel somewhere other than to work! I forgot, along the way my valve cover started to seep a bit of oil onto the exhaust manifold. Every time I would stop the HVAC system would suck that oil burning off smell into the cab. Its not that bad just a bit annoying.
