Are you sure the one from Randy's is the correct seal? I'll be the seal that came with it is for the S10 or something.

Yes, on the seal in the kit it reads, AAM 400050495 AIR SIDE same as the one from the GM dealer (note: old seal P/N AAM 46002025)

Knowing I was just doing a re-gear not a complete re-build I spent weeks trying to piece together a kit to save $, It got confusing trying to match up AAM P/N's with GM P/N's against Timken P/N's. So I called Randy's R&P and told them exactly what I was doing on my 02 TB. The guy said kit YK GM7.2IFS-C is what I needed and has everything (more then what's needed for a re-gear)

I can list P/N's out of the kit if someone want to piece some stuff together

That link is a nice reference for the future. Is the YK GM7.2IFS-C kit what you received? What sort of price did you pay? I've got to do a rebuild of the diff I got from a member on here that was in pretty bad condition and am considering replacing all the bearings while I'm in there.

I stickied this thread. I think it will prove to be a really good resource. Can you keep the first post updated with as much information as you can? Part numbers, etc?

Yes, got it from Summit Racing $256 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/yga-14164/overview/ shipped direct from RR&P in TN. Also in the kit are the part to rebuild the disconnect not just the diff
When I called RR&P I questioned him about the P/N's, I had some wrong that's why I went with the kit. Items in the kit are used in a lot of other differentials like the pinion shims are the same as the Dana 44 diff. I'll doc all PN's with pics.

I hope to get to the rebuild next week so I can swap out the front diff some time in February

Just a quick point, the kit from Summit says it's for 2004 and up only. So please be sure to let us know if everything fits your 02 for those of us pre 04 model.

Yes, and Yukon's web site states the same "04 and up" that's why I called. I went through the kit and it's right, it has everything I need.

Box says '01-09
Site says '04+
Then on the same page says '02+

There are no significant changes to the front diff (other than the addition of the extra exterior hole) between the years of the trailblazer that I know of. Anything that fits one year model TB should fit any other.

Why the two different part numbers for the AWD sleeve (#5)? What's the difference and which should I order when converting my disconnect to AWD?

Edit: The AWD sleeve is # 12471636.

The other number is really #12 in assembly 56 part # 26036092
