CV Axle Replacement Question

My TB is in need of new cv axles the boots came off due to the lift. But I was wondering since its already there if I should re grease the axle disconnect and replace the needle bearings and washers even though for now they seem fine.

I bought these and the boots are holding up great with my 3" lift and 87 springs. Says only for awd, but I spoke to the seller and he confirmed that it works for both awd and 4wd.

I would go ahead and grease the disconnect, never a bad idea.

Yea I think I'm gonna grease to disconnect and replace the needle bearings and the thrust washers while I'm at it.

Did you guys replace the seals when you changed your cv axles ?

I do seals just about every time I have a shaft out, because they're cheap and easy and I get sick of pulling those shafts.

I had the issue. Purchased some regular worm drive clams and got them tight. Haven't had a boot popping issue since.

It's the standard approach with properly flexy boots.

So I'm a little late to respond but. I found a cardone drive shaft on Amazon for $35 with prime shipping. They said it was used the only thing that was used on it was the box was torn. I also re greased the disconnect replaced all the seals replaced the thrust bearings and washers on the disconnect also I had to put in a new hub, which I already had for. The ABS sensors.And used a hose clamp on the boot.
