This is a new endeavor that ORTB is working on to bring more active women into this site. In the past, we have gotten many emails stating that the membership here is sexist or makes sexually charged remarks or they otherwise don't make women feel welcome here. I had an email the other week stating that the woman felt like she was pounced on by all of our members simply because she had a feminine name.
This is disappointing to hear about this membership. We should be treating everyone equally.
In an attempt to make these members feel more comfortable here, we are instituting the new "Women Only Area" so that we can cultivate the small core group of women members that exists on this site, and try to grow and make new women feel welcome.
If you are a female member of this site, please send a picture of yourself in front of your computer screen with the ORTB website visible in the background of the image to womenaccess@offroadtb.com, and we will mark your user permissions so that you can access the Women Only Area.
As for the men of this site, please make it a point to treat these women with more dignity when they do post in the future.
