Photos Needed for ORTB Articles - Recoveries and Trail Shots

Discussion of photos, video, cameras, and post-processing.

by Trail X » Wed Mar 23, 2016 1:02 pm

Guys, we are working on some final touches to the articles for the new site.

One set of photos we want to replace are the trail rating guide photos (http://www.offroadtb.com/articles/trail-rating-guide/). We originally used photos from Expeditions West, which used a Tacoma. We'd like to replace these pictures with GMT360/70s. If you have a photo that showcases your vehicle and a trail rating of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, or 4, please post your image below and indicate which trail rating it could correspond to. Feel free to go through all of your old images, dates do not matter, but the trail needs to be clearly showcased.

The second set of photos we are working on are recovery photos. If you have any pictures of GMT360s involving stuck vehicles, passive recoveries, dynamic recoveries, static recoveries, or recovery tools, please post them below. These photos will be used in the Vehicle Recovery article (http://www.offroadtb.com/articles/vehicle-recovery/) on the new site.

These are good chances for your truck to live forever in infamy on the new site!

Thanks everyone! :happy whip:

Hope this helps! if not thats cool too :thumleft:

This portion of the trail might go well with the description of the "Formed track" trail rating (2)

As well as possibly this for the "Rugged Track" rating (2.5) :flex dirty:

Also have this picture of Dynamic recovery as well as a picture of a D-Ring on my TB

Here's a few that would fit the 1.5 and/or 2.0 trails. The 3rd one was when the truck was still bone stock, no lift, all season tires. The 1st one is lifted, with larger all terrain tires.

Not sure what kind of trails these would be rated (or if they show enough of the trail):

Thanks guys, we're moving forward on the new site, but admittedly slowly. Mason and I are hoping to have the new site up and running as soon as possible. Free time has been really elusive for me lately... Thanks again for the pictures. Please keep them coming if you have them.
