If we cannot raise the funds needed, we do have the ability to bump back to a lower service level of hosting in order to bring the hosting charges down. However some of you will remember that a couple of years back we had issues with server uptime. Those server uptime issues drove us to buy into the increased hosting cost of a VPS. Since the time that we upgraded our hosting capabilities, we have had very decent uptime with the site (with only two or three days or so of downtime this past year). I don't want to go back to a shared server, and I imagine those of you that remember the issues that we battled with feel the same way.
We've got some good stuff planned for this year. Mason and I are working to roll out the new wordpress side of the site (the articles) this year (which was possible due to member donations). This expansion will help align the whole ORTB site to make it easier to obtain information from the articles, and make it easier to cross over between the two sides of the site.
