Hey yall im new too OffroadTB and i would just like too say hi to everyone and im live in Oregon and see lots of Offroad trails and everything
So i just have a all stock 2004 TB and would like to start building it up and making it a BEAST!!! haha
So, id like to ask what are some things yall done to yours and which way should i go about?
Plus i have no clue what rearend i have since the code in the glovebox is gone... what is another way too find what rearend i have

Hi. first time on the forum. I signed up to increase my network as I'll be launching a campaign on a global crowdsourcing website soon. The problem is, that the site rules explicitly request no promotional gimmicks... so, there goes my attempt at networking on offroadTB... sigh.

I want to build a custom truck, one-of-a-kind, nothing like it. I've had this vision for about 20 yrs now... I was going to post an image here, but the forum requires hotlinking, so that's out too. How about a verbal description... an offroad (replica) 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 on a custom-modified Humvee chassis.

I don't want to get kicked off, but at the same time, as my network is rather small, I need to reach out to like-minded individuals to spread the message. If I get kicked off, I don't blame the Admins... I hate ads and commercials myself. So... maybe you can, with some simple deductive reasoning, figure out how to find out more about what I have in mind. It's not that hard, really.

The campaign is to build the Superbeast. Once the truck is built, I plan on using it to raise funds for a specific charity that makes wishes come true for children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. (I can't use that name either, because, well - my game concept is a driver/shooter. There's kind of a conflict of moral interest there). Anyways, wish me luck and if you like what you see, spread the word on your social network.

Hey all - I think I jumped the gun here I've been posting some things but never came here first!

I am a new member and just want to introduce myself. This past spring I sold my 07 Sierra HD and I (somehow) convinced my wife that I needed a toy My 3yo son was more than thrilled! I picked up a 2005 TB EXT with the v8 with higher mileage but with no rust. Decided to lift it and put some slightly bigger mud tires on it so I can take the family down some back woods trails up in Northern Michigan! This is the first time I've been back into off-roading in almost 12 years!!

In the past couple months I've spent a LOT of time on this forum and it really helped me make decisions on what to do. You are all VERY knowledgeable and I'm impressed by the level of support from people who have become vendors of parts specific to Trailblazers! You can see below I've already progressed on my truck and I'm going to pick up the bumper and skid plate kits from Mr. Barton this weekend. Please take a look at my Build Thread and let me know what you think!

Sorry that was a typo. I picked up the bumper kit as well as the radiator and oil pan skid kits.

Thanks Anthony!! Your rig is one that I really like!!! How do you like the 89's up front? I have 85's stock and they seem pretty stiff with the 3" lift, but not sure how they will be once I get all that steel bolted on :\

Hahaha thanks man... Well so far I like the 89's, however I am not certain how it may or may not end.. Although I cut them down one coil, it's not 100% yet whether they break strut rods... A very common issue with them... The difference seems to be .50" so I'll see after a few rough trips in them... But so far I hate they had not made all tb's with them.. But that's just me...

Bummer - any issues with people running 87's or 88's?? If I went up from 85 I want to go more than one step... thinking 87's might be right after the bumper and skids are in.

Not that I have read, they work well. The 89 work but just with the 2.5" lift.
To be honest I have not read anything that bilstein HD shocks and any GM spring combo are designed to work together. What I mean by this is, do the HD struts have the correct valuing for which spring/s on the list. Once I started to understand the basic mechanics the choice to go with the radflo's made even more sense. There are designed for the spring that they have on them. Don't get me wrong most of the combos seems to work ok.
