You'll definitely need a fuse, size depends on the wattage/wire gauge of the fog lights. You could go directly to the battery, but I prefer to tie to the "superfuse" on the front of the fuse block since that lug already has plenty of threads left and you're still tying in on the protected side of the superfuse. As for a switch, the size of the switch will also depend on the load it must carry. If you put too much load through your switch, it will burn up.
I prefer to use universal four pin relays so I can use any switch I want but that can be a little complicated to wire up at first but really simple once you figure it out.
