Tried to post yesterday. Unfortunately I'm out. Ran out of time and money to get it ready. I need to replace the front and rear bearings, can either do that or afford to drive down. I'll be at the Chicago Meet the following weekend but was looking forward to some camping and off roading.

Well after a very gnarly crash with the drone, I may not have it back up and running for this event. I really wanted to get some solid aerial shots for this trip... we'll see. I have parts being rushed, and are supposed to be here Wednesday. So we'll see if I can get packing done and repairs done before leaving. Bummer.

So I am new to this but I have been interested in some of the events, primarily tecore. Where can I find out what my rig needs to be set up with to join/enter this. And is there any fee?

Welcome aboard.

There are no fees for the trail or anything else associated with the ride itself. Obviously you will have to cover your gas, but that is about it.

But you truck should be ready for it. At least 31" tires with a radiator skid plate is recommended for Flagpole Run - one of the trails that we usually run. The same is recommended for Dictum Ridge which there has been some discussion about hitting. If you are running 33" or larger, then the skid plates are more optional, but still recommended.

Personally, I consider a full size spare to be mandatory - but I am not the trail boss for this ride.

Because it is a three day, two night trip, camping gear and food for three days would be needed. JD does not like leaving the trail much - and I really don't blame him. So you will have to pack in everything you want to eat, drink (beers welcome, don't forget water), and sleep in. This includes anything you need to cook with - stove, pots/pans, jetboil for hot water, that sort of thing. Clothing for the weather and for the number of days would be needed. For weather planning, use Sugar Grove, WV as the location.

Most of the shared gear is covered already - things like chainsaws, hatchets, axes, and other campfire kit.

But I think the most important thing is a good attitude. There are a great bunch of folks on this list and we usually have a lot of fun.

Got my truck ready and half packed today. Can't wait. Only a few more days!!

I dropped my spare tire today to check the pressure and see if the hoist still worked. Well the tire was dead flat and the hoist works great. LOL

9am or 10am? I thought we had done 10am the last few times? We need to decide and be clear so that we don't miss anyone.

Since I only live an hour and a half away - I don't get much of a vote. But I would lean toward 10am to allow folks that are coming from further away a bit more time...

That's fine with us, we'll be in town so that'll buy an extra hour of sleep.

Now to see if I can sneak in an alignment before Thursday, 87s threw the camber way out, even with the armor.

I'll be heading out sometime thursday afternoon. give myself about a 16 hour headstart which will allow time for some sleep. I'll probably be first there again.
