Again for the 2nd year in a row I was unable to actually wheel on our Spring Run... The day stated with a drivers meeting at 9am at a Gas station then departing from there to the trails. The trail system we ran this year was the exact same trails as last year but we ran them backwards this year. Basically started where we came out last year and came out where we started last year. Everything started out just grand. The weather was dead perfect not a single cloud in the sky temperature warmed up by mid day to the point where most people were either wearing hoodies or short sleeves. Absolutely no snow on the trails compared to last year. There were a few holes that were still frozen but were able to be busted up with each passing vehicle.

First leg of the trail was pretty easy till we came to a hole that had a small creek running through it. The mud was extremely soft compared to the other mud holes we came across. The leader of the group(our Former President of the Club, Dave who I'm ridding with) went into the hole and got stuck right away. Pulled him out and on his second try he managed to get through. Vehicle #2 to try(Our current President, Brent) he hammered it into the hole and just stopped dead in his tracks. At this point Dave was going to circle around to lead everyone around the hole. He got stuck doing so... Which is something you never do. Got Brent pulled out and we started to head towards Dave. By the time We got Dave and Brent Unstuck we spent about 2 hours there. Whoever was leading took a wrong turn so we had to backtrack back to the right trail and by the time we got to Dave he managed to get himself unstuck. After that everything smoothed out.

Trail #2. It started as a long stretch as a Clay/sandy soupy mess. I got out to record footage which turned out to be an utter failure as none of those video files will open. Dave went first and he almost made it out. The guy in the Toyota Pickup which is almost bone stock only has either 30" or 31" tires on it went in after Dave to pull him out. He made it to Dave hooked Dave up and tried to pull him out. No go. The Toyota ended up getting stuck. So we get someone to take the bypass around to pull Dave out the Front. He backs up and gets stuck... We now are trying to get the Toyota unstuck and that jeep gets stuck. Now we have a total of 4 rigs completely stuck. We get someone to pull the Jeep out and lengthened the recovery straps and he started to pull the Toyotas out. Meanwhile we get another jeep to drive around and pull the jeep out in the front. So we now have only Dave stuck. Brent drove around front got into a decent spot with traction to pull Dave out. I my self decided I'm going to try and get a good shot from the rear of Dave's rig. Started going out there and slipped into the Mud  it was funny as heck. Now Brent ends up getting stuck. So we get another jeep to come up front to yank Brent out. Now after all this Dave's wench started working. Hooked it up to a tree got another jeep with a winch to hook up to Dave so we pulled double cable. Got Dave unstuck and everyone took the bypass. We probably spent about 2-3 hours there just dealing with all of that.

Once that section was behind us we had one other hard section in front of us. The Toyota and a jeep just blasted right through the whole thing no issue. Now its Dave's turn yep he gets stuck. Now the Full size F250 goes. He actually made it halfway but couldn't get enough traction to get him up and over a small hump. He wasn't stuck, he could backup. Long story short we got Dave unstuck by double wenching again. Pulled the F250 out and we were on our way. Everything after that was easy no one got stuck.

Once we hit pavement we headed to a Township Hall we rented for a cookout and out Club Meeting afterwards. We gained 1 new member and 1 wants to join at our clean up.

I read that whole thing and can't remember who's who...
So what I got from it was: "He got stuck, then when he went to pull him out. He got stuck. then He also got stuck. While trying to go around, he got stuck. I fell in mud. Videos won't load. I didn't post any pictures."

Is that correct for the most part?

I always say that there's a country song for every situation, and this is no exception. A Canadian singer, Corb Lund, has a cut out called "The Truck Got Stuck".

Can't find a link to the song yet, but if you get to hear it, you, and all other 4 wheelers will love it. It was high on the charts here when it came out 7 or 8 years ago. No "aboots" in his accent, just good country redneck, since he grew up as a working cowboy on an Alberta ranch.

Is it a crime to share a trip our club puts on every year just cause there is no Trailblazer/Envoys in the group?!?!

Actually according to ORTB Statute 784.93(1c)
"Any trip thread posted in/on this forum must involve and include a minimum of (1) vehicle meeting the specified criteria from subsection A."

784.93(c) states:
"It is unlawful for any member to knowingly and intentionally post a trip thread to this forum which does not include any vehicles meeting the definitions in subsection A. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by Kyle (HardTrailz) making an inflammatory comment in the violators direction. Second or subsequent violations will result in private messages from administration containing pictures of a variety of animals after they have been shaved."

Apart from all the wenching (you know its winching, right?, "wench" is something entirely different), and goopy mud, looks like a good trip!

Bacon, thanks for that bit of humor!!
