- My most recent picture and why I decided to do some upgrades. Long day at work driving to my girl friends house, I started down a slight grade into her neighborhood at 5mph. By the time I got to the bottom (a T intersection) I was doing 25 and had 3 choices a parked car, a house, or a curb with a knee wall. So I picked the curb and spent the the hour pulling my tb off a wall and changing my flat in the snow. Luckily the week prior I had the spare down to change the vent purge valve, so I didnt have to deal with the spare being stuck while in the snow. So me being the type of person I am, you cant replace stock parts with stock parts. So I have spent the last 2 months researching different things on here and other sites and my journey has begun.

So it all originally starts with me owning what was always my dream truck, then being young and dumb and trading that in on a Mercedes C class. While I owned that car, my dad passed away and I became a trailblazer owner (his of course which makes it a little more special). So a year after going to back to school I was tired of looking at a car I was paying insurance and a car payment of just sit in my drive way (benz). So I decided to sell it and just have my tb. So I did and besides the occasional problems I have been pretty happy with it.

The first of the parts have arrived tomorrow Ill be getting my wheels, It will be a few weeks until my body lift comes in and I have time to install it so they will pretty much only be paper weights for a while. I am hoping to get my springs, shocks, struts, and suspension lift tomorrow as well so I can get busy this weekend. Also I currently have a 8" rear with 3.42 gears, so this saturday I am taking a little trip to Jersey; hopefully I will come home with an 8.6 with an open carrier! Oh also I have new upper and lower ball joints for both sides but i got them late in the day and left them sitting on my tool box, so until I install them I really didnt think a pic of them was needed.

My emergency lights install job

- I have my switches for my lights mounted next to my shifter for easy access. One toggle for siren, one for my priority green, The green push button is for white strobes, the two red buttons work the red strobes and led dash light. All switched are wired to relays mounted in the back

Radio Up grade. I got a free amp and 2 12s from my ex (this week next week will probably be different). She swears they worked perfect when she took them out of her car a year ago. I guess amps over heat in closets hahahaha

Bought a new head unit and had some fun installing

- interface kit wiring. I use heat shrink butt connectors on everything. Keep the moisture out keep the current flowing.

- Interface kit all cleaned up. I used a spade connector for the amp remote wire to make removal of harness easy.

Finished product... I had to grind the bezel slightly due to the rounded edges and the head unit not sitting properly. With only having 3 hrs of sleep and driving all day I was kinda in a rush and always slack on the finishing quality I do on my own stuff.

So the reason I only slept a few hours after i hooked everything up the subs weren't working. My ex said they worked perfectly so I retraced everything I did 5 times and then decided to look deeper at the amp. The power light was on and the fault light wasn't; that's one more reason I doubted my self. She wanted me to hang some drywall and the subs and amp were what she offered me

- good news is these will only run me a few dollars and I can easily solder them in. bad news is I spent 3 hours making sure my work was correct

- A row of bilateral transformers (fets) were melted. this is usually cause by under powering an amp or over working one and normally you can smell it... "worked perfectly" Well those few hours of sleep were spent in her bed atleast hahahah.

- This came out of an 08 SWB with a 4.2 the guy told me on the phone it was out of a SWB with a v8. Either way it was a SWB with 18s that had an 8.6. he was just happy to get rid of it, it had been sitting there since 2009. He couldnt comprehend that I could careless about what gears were in it hahaha

Here are some more pics of this past weekend. Im still waiting on my shocks and struts to come before I mess with my suspension, hopefully they will come this week sometime. If not I was told my body lift shipped out today so I should have something to do!

- Anyone that has worked around cars for awhile should know why I took this pic. Although the rotors are rusted from sitting outside for a few years they had no groves in them and these retaining clips on the rotors are only on there for one reason... to keep the rotors from falling off on the assembly line. The first brake job they get taken off never to return again. So the way the rotors looked and these clips tell me this axle has very low mileage.
