Planning: Tug Hill Weekend Trip

I have been planning this trip in my head since the first snowfall and it is getting close to spring so I figured I would see if any one in the area would like to join in on the fun. I actually live on the edge of Tug Hill in Adams, NY so its really in my backyard. One of the guys I work with just recently purchased a Blazer ZR2....I know not a Trailblazer but at least it has a bow tie, heard I go Exploring in the forest around here and was interested. It will actually be nice to have someone else along as I am usually by myself therefore limited for fear of getting stuck. We have a few known roads that are pretty bad one of which another member on here documented called Jerusalem Rd, the dirt road I Live down actually connects to this road on the other side. And there is a few I cam across last summer while out exploring the Tug Hill State Forest. We There is not a definitive date yet seeing how spring is technically 14 days away and we still have snow on the ground. It will most likely be a Saturday camp that night and return on Sunday afternoon maybe even leave on a Friday afternoon and make it a 3 day trip. I just wanted to extend the invitation to everyone on here. If your interested in going just let me know.

A lot of the back roads I travel pretty much turn into snowmobile trails after the snow hits, and some are seasonal roads that open back up on April 1st unless the snow melts off before then. So end of March early April, but like I said it really depends on mother nature.

Yes, they are all legal they are either seasonal roads or DEC roads. I do not go anywhere that says "no motor vehicles beyond this point". We just need the weather to cooperate. I know the seasonal roads technically open on April 1st but can be opened sooner if the snow melts off. Still no definite date but once we get a week or two of warm weather to melt all this snow off I will let everyone know. I will try to give a definite date at least 2 weeks out so anyone needing to take time off can hopefully do so.
