kyle here called them a couple months ago to see if they would make one like yours, and they apparently said no... That's why him and I got together on the bumper in the first place..

That's fairly crappy since they have James's truck pics plastered all over the order page.

They pretty much told me it is what it is and I could change things myself. After the initial bad taste I got, I said screw you and did not waste anymore time with them.

I may end up going with this instead of my tube front that I had been planning... it's a very tempting option, even though I think tubes would look badass... unless, of course, you're open to making a tube version :poke:

:Iagree:

IMO JD's bumper isn't even a KMA product anymore.

I just went on the KMA site and I would be pissed off at them what gives them the right to use your pics of their bumper that you had to modify to actually work and fit right??

Welp, I guess this thread answered my question. I thought that bumper looked to good to be true. I would be very upset if someone used my work to advertise their product. Years ago I completed a one off supercharger setup for my car with a water to air aftercooler. Ironically a year after I made my setup, another person used my pictures claiming to offer my exact setup !!!! I was ticked to say the least. I took advantage of the forums (which were far and few then) and made it known that this was my design, my car, my picture, and that if anyone "wanted" to create a kit like mine, it was fine. However if they were going to produce it in numbers, use their own pictures, not mine claiming them as their own. The supercharger and aftercooler were Vortech units, along with the T Rex fuel pump and FMU.. never once did Vortech step in and claim my design (granted i'd been tickled if they had).

Long story short, i'd push for them to remove your picture. If not, they should atleast place a disclaimer below it showing a link to this thread.

Thanks again for pointing me this way James.

As nglauer said above, even if they do them, they didn't do those.

Also, read James' first post in this thread... He didn't order their brush guards and stuff because he didn't like they way they looked...

Yeah, from what I saw their add-ons are butt ugly, at least the grill guard they show is. Reminds me of the old school cow pushers.

I am aware they are using the pictures. The fact is, they did provide the base and it was pretty decent. Also, they did fix some of their dimensions since my bumper to match my modifications. Essentially they now have two TB base designs, the one with the blue bumper on their site, and mine. Some of the dimensions changed between them... personally I think that due to my work with Kyle, their bumper has improved a good bit.

I believe Kyle has also stated that he could reproduce my bumper again, minus the rubber strips on the push bars.

I was actually talking to Kyle before I had mike make me a bumper. He can add the rubber strips. He charged $20 for them. You just have to ask for them and the "blade" style grille guard.
