New Custom Roof Rack

Any special projects involving a decent amount of fab work (bumpers, sliders, roof racks, etc)

I picked up my new, custom made roof rack Friday. I painted it and got it mounted last night. I love the look and it's strong and light. It's made from 1"x1" aluminum square tube and fits the stock roof rail width. It didn't come with any mounting provision so I used Roadie's approach - through the stock rails. If anyone is interested in one, I'll see about a possible group buy. They are cheaper than a Thule or Yakima.

$175 is seriously not a bad price for a welded aluminum rack like that!

How long is it? Can it be shorter sides? or possibly just flat?

Since he builds them to order, I don't see why he couldn't make one to a height you specify.
