Looking at the location of how these are mounted. It looks like it might work on our platform.

I can't say I've seen it, however it looks simple enough that some basic brackets should do it.

anything is possible, but I am not sure how you will mount it. The rear bumper is rather thin metal and certainly won't support the weight so you will have to build a bracket of some kind between the frame rails.

I would mount it with a bracket to the frame, right where the hitch goes. I was thinking I would have one in lieu of the rear bumper, not in addition. At least, in my mind.

I don't know of anyone that has tried it. Might be worth trying if you got it for free, but I'd imagine it'd probably be easier to just build one as opposed to trying to make that fit our vehicles.
I also can't say I'd want to use a tire carrier like that in place of a rear bumper since it's only going to be as strong as the latching mechanism. You wouldn't find me wrapping a recovery strap around it... With that said I'm sure there's a few guys here that wouldn't have a problem with it. LOL

That's a fair point, I strap to my receiver though. Looking at the price's alone, it's not worthwhile, I can buy a spindle from Synergy and steel for alot cheaper lol.

Hell if you remove the bumper cover and start with a piece of tubing, it would be a start to a nice bumper.. IMO.
