Panhard Bar Drop Bracket

any suggestions? should I just get a adjustable bar? or is anyone interested in making a drop bracket?

I don't know anyone who is unhappy with their longer or adjustable panhard bars. That said, I know Marc did a lot of work on the drop bracket. I will talk with him to see if there are any options for brining it back. I'm thinking things like outsourcing or group buys.

After driving it for a few days, I checked again. I seem to be about 1/8" towards the passenger side still. That's a whole lot better than the aprox 1 1/2" that I was off! We should find ou this weekend how it holds up to abuse at the Badlands!

no it holds in just find with the top and side bolt. And being sandwiched with the old mount.

Robert, did you mean 2 bolts holding it sandwiched? Because that thought has crossed my mind. It's also crossed my mind to have more than one hole that you can mount the bar into, allowing some adjustability. For exampe, a location intended for guys with 2" lift blocks and stock springs. Then the location we are using as it's so common. Perhaps an additional location for people who go further yet with the Skyjacker springs.

I am Not an engineer. This would possibly take me some time to figure out. Is there interest in that kind of change, or is the majority happy with the bracket the way it is?

I am taking about the top bolt as shown here, may a longer bracket going up the mount.

I don't see a need for the bracket to be longer, and putting another bolt in there. It'll also be a little difficult if I recall to get a nut up in there and work.

Mark fabed a few last weekend, so I snagged one from him. Thanks for talking with him!

I think ideally you'd have two horizontal bolts and drill the stock mount for a second bolt, I don't know if it's even feasible though to get a drill up in there. With that said, Mark's design has seemed to hold up just fine as is.

If anybody is worried about it, there wouldn't be much work involved in just burning the extension into stock bracket.

Does anyone think that the reason my tb shakes when initially accelerating is because of z71 springs and 2" block I have in the rear, put my rear axle off center?

Okay. I'm just in denial about changing the cv joints or u-joint lol. Was worth a shot though haha

I have not heard of any reports of the axle being that amount off center causing vibration. I do know of 5 guys with our platform who have had to replace there rear most U joint in the last 2 weeks! That could cause a vibration!

Don't procrastinate too long. Nick Faerber ended up needing a whole drive shaft after his broke.
The nuts and bolts showed up today! We're just waiting on the fab shop to bend and stamp them for us!

I will definitely do it soon, just need to find some time with work and college haha... But that's great! I'm excited to get mine! I never noticed how off center my axle was until you bumped the original thread up and I read up on it haha.
