Is the top bolt sleeved between the mounting holes?

If not, there really needs to be. In some pictures it looks like there is one, and in others it looks sleeveless.

If so, I'd cut the sleeve down a bit and put a washer on either side of it, internal to the bracket. That thin sheet metal doesn't have much bearing surface, and I could see it wearing some - mainly because of the constant vibrations. Might not be a big deal, depending on the thickness of the sleeve.

I'm less worried about it now though, with the bar moved. Glad the holes worked out.

Yes, it's sleeved. I will look, but when I bolted it together I was not concerned with the metal on the outsides of the sleeve. There should not be any notable motion there.

After driving it for a few days, I checked again. I seem to be about 1/8" towards the passenger side still. That's a whole lot better than the aprox 1 1/2" that I was off! We should find ou this weekend how it holds up to abuse at the Badlands!

I just got back from the Badlands. The mount held up perfectly. It didn't move, slip, bend or fatigue in any way I can find. It looks just like the day I put it on. It's not there yet, but I would imagine it will only be a few days before some video and picture proof of it's durability will be on the Completed Badlands thread.

I Installed the cross bar to the same mounting hole as the panhard bar as was stated. It definitely helps support the mount

Just revisiting this, how many guys are using this now?

Mark, have you given any additional thought to lowering the bar another couple inches to get it closer to the same plane that the axle sits? The gains are minimal, but it may help the guys running 35s by lessening the angles even more. A slightly longer support brace could be made easily, piece of tube, then hammer flat the ends and drill a hole.

I'm guessing there are 4 running this. ErikSS, Moots, Me and Lauron.

NOW THERE ARE FIVE IN SERVICE. I FINALLY GOT MINE INSTALLED TODAY. INSTALLATION WAS PRETTY MUCH CUT AND DRY EXEPT THAT ON MY ENVOY THE CROSS MEMBER LINED UP WITH THE END OF THE SPARE TIRE REST AND I HAD TO CUT ABOUT A HALF INCH OFF THE END. THE PANHARD BAR IS ALMOST LEVEL, STILL HIGHER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, AND THE TIRES NOW FAVOR THE DRIVERS SIDE ABOUT A QUARTER OF AN INCH. I THINK THE CHANGE TO STICKING OUT THE DRIVERS SIDE HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH USING THE ORIGINAL CROSS BAR ON THE LOWER HOLE WITH THE NEW LOCATION OF THE PANHARD BAR. I THINK IT ACTUALLY PULLS THE NEW BRACKET TOWARD THE DRIVERS SIDE SLIGHTLY MAKING EVERYTHING SHIFT JUST A LITTLE MORE THAN WE ACTUALLY NEED. ITS STILL MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT I STARTED OUT WITH AND IM HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT. THANKYOU MARK.

This actually could explain a lot. Especially with the cross bar pulling towards the driver side which I see happening on mine. How much lift you have any z71s or Skyjacker Coil Springs? If you give us that It might narrow it down. Once I get my disco rebuilt I'll give this a try and see if it changes it for the better.

Ill try and not shout this time. I've got the usual 3 front and 2 rear level lift with stock rear springs and bds shocks. Rear sway bar delete. Does that help.
