Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

New front bumper possibilities

Any special projects involving a decent amount of fab work (bumpers, sliders, roof racks, etc)

by boog2006 » Sat Feb 09, 2013 2:23 pm

So on my travels this week I came across a herd of trailblazers at Tricounty EMC in Lafayette, TN.

One in particular had this bumper. It's obviously not made for the truck but fits relatively well.

I made two trips through the parking lot trying to find a lineman to talk with to find out more information, but no luck. I'll be back by the end of the month so I'll try again.

That looks like the KMA/TAG bumper. Yes, it doesn't look like it's made for the TB without the $1k of custom work that James had done to his, but it is. When this guy welded his mounts onto it (or whoever he paid locally did), the guy didn't do a great job of positioning the bumper well, as I'm sure he rubs the bumper on the body at the sides.

I had forgot about the TAG. Thought may e it had been fit from another vehicle.

TAG bumpers might as well have come from another vehicle. They disrespect the platform. :finger:

You wonder if they were originally for another platform.

Considering how rounded that front part is, I wouldn't discount it.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

My money is on those bumpers fitting a Nissan Titan perhaps. The cut fits their style along with the curvature on the bumper. Happened to think of it while walking past a Nisan Titan with something very similar today.

I tried quoting the image itself...it didn't work.

To the guy who got it welded on:
