Standard paint can't be expected to hold up on a front bumper. Heck, even if you get a stock bumper professionally repainted, it will begin to show rock chips quicker than you'd expect.

Exactly! People just don't notice it because the plastic doesn't rust... The plastic also absorbs some of the shock from the rocks, so the plastic bumper won't chip as bad as a metal one, even...

Wait, what? I was totally going to send you hate mail over the fact that my rad skid chipped the paint. :finger:

If your that worried about it, use paint like "por15", powder coat, line -x the damn thing, or get it made in stainless and leave it bare hahahaha.

At the end of the day, if you are having a prof body shop painter doing your bumper, request he use some extra flex additive in the paint. It will allow the paint to remain flexible. You can also add hardeners to the clear to have extra rock chip protection. Another key here is dont use crappy paint. Or old paint for that matter.

where there is a will, there is a way.

Yeah, I would like to see a close-up of the side wings and lines. Looks somewhat bulky to me from the current pics, but then I'm not looking for a winch bumper. Pretty much: similar to stock size/appearance but not as low hanging, D-rings mounted and a receiver. They probably wouldn't be able to do that without the vehicle, so I'm most likely SOL anyway... :wallbash:

Edit: I see they are now called "Tactical Armor Group" with a new website, and have the Envoy Wincher listed...

Tactical Armor Group... eh?

They must be trying to leave the old KMA namesake behind.

There is another company based in Cali called KMA Fabrication that does 4x4 stuff, a bit confusing.
