2006 Straight Axled Trailblazer

Well since the lift kits for the trailblazers are limited and my customer wanted to run 39.5 inch tall tires he asked me to make them fit. I said ok. I cut off the entire factory suspension and built what you see here. It has a total of 18inches of travel, 60% droop, and looks like a mini monster truck. I think I am the first one ever to do this. I am very happy with the results and if anyone wants me to build them one let me know.

I can't imagine running 39" tires, damn.
So I'm guessing totally new front diff, did they change out the rear too?

I can't decide whether to love it or hate it.While its no longer a TB at heart... that thing could mangle some serious trails... easily blacks... maybe reds! I'd love to see a picture of it in action. I hope its not a show truck.

true. I'd be all for a milder version. Something not in need of all that coilover through the floor crap. And maybe an SS motor.

Was the fabrication work of reliable off-road quality? Or was it purely non-functional-something-might-break-if-you-really-use-it quality?

My fab work is all offroad capable. I built it as if it would be getting jumped and wheeled hardcore. It is a 70% droop suspension with hyd bumpstops. Everything will be braced and axles will be trussed when it comes back from the jamboree this weekend. It would be trail ready if I dropped it about 2-3in. and put something other than 14 wide wheels on it. Maybe a nice set of 39 iroks on some 9 wides with beadlocks. He just wanted it to look like a mini monster truck for show purposes. Its not a tack welded looks like it could offroad truck. I figured all the anti squat and oversteer numbers. Plus the suspension is fully adjustable.
