Sorry - forgot sand dunes, too. Here's some 900 foot high dunes about six miles away.

Hehe, we need a view from the driver's seat of the Roadiemobile looking towards the passenger seat...there is a ridiculous amount of stuff in there. Especially if you see the video of his slickrock adventures, papers flying out and everything :poke:

Fuzzy dice and rosary beads? Yep - New Joisey. :finger:

I admit to keeping a messy dash when I'm in expedition mode:

Its too bad bill's picture isn't a wider angle... you'd see the 3k foot drop about 6" from his driver side tire.

I'll bring my trip report over from the OS someday, but I led Teebes on a trail on Wheeler Ridge at around 9500 feet beyond where what light traffic came up that high was compacting it. This part was narrower, and very, very crumbly decomposed granite. One guide book (that I read later) said only hikers and ATVs should be on this section. I went slightly downhill to avoid the rock, and started sliding. I was going slowly, but when I stopped, I had been going 2" downslope for every 2" I went forward. Pucker time. Long extraction where Teebes did most of the hard work with little oxygen.
