I figured it was time to venture over here.

I will freely admit that I started out a complete noob to proper vehicle maintenance, as is shown by the fact that I have a post in the "OMG look whats in the OS" thread. I am however trying to remedy my shortcomings and treat my truck with the respect it deserves.

I have had the privilege of meeting a few of you at various meets, including Carlisle, and have talked to a few more on the other site. Most will remember me as just another one of the many lowered Envoys. I am proud to say that with a bit of encouragement from Hardtrailz and a few others, I have joined the ranks of the lifted.

I have recently installed MarkMC's suspension lift, will be installing Z71 shocks and springs this weekend, and am expecting to have the body lift on by the end of the month. I have added wheel adapters, and am now running a set of stock Avalanche rims with a set of 265/70R17's.

I am a beginner to off-roading, having always been the passenger but never the driver. I am eager to learn though, and am looking forward to getting my truck dirty!

39"? Whats up with that?

Anyways, good to have you here. Why did you end up reversing your stance on the lifted subject?

Welcome..

the 39 is fender height. From slammed to lifted makes a huge difference when you see it occur.

I knew when you won the lift at Carlisle that it would get on there eventually, all it took was buying the wife one to lower....

Kyle is exactly correct, when I won the lift at Carlisle last year it was always in the plans to lift. The original plan was that we were buying a second Trailvoy and were going to lift that one. We ended up buying a Bravada with the smart track, and since it is not a true 4x4 it made sense to lift mine and put my lowered suspension on my wife's Bravada.

I will get some pics up soon. I need to get them up on the OS as well. I have been waiting to post them because I am trying to figure out how to get the center caps on. On the Avalanche they thread on to the outside of the lugs. Since the Avalanche uses larger lugs then our platform that isn't an option.

I am using MarkMC's body lift.

I also plan plan on stealing your CB idea if you don't mind, it was a real clean set up.
