Welcome. Deciding to go up or down is a hard one. I have had all lowered vehicles until this one. And I love it!

Welcome... What's there to think about? Lowering is useless on our vehicles, and lifting increases utility of our sport UTILITY vehicles. Ta DA!

Haha i know.

My saying is cars are for lowering and trucks and suv's are for lifting.

Well right now my setup is 285/50/20 on SS rims. That alone lifted mine 2" :woot:

Nice job. You should like it. Whats your plan for the ss rims? Gonna try and use them or sell them and snatch up some new ones?

A good rule of thumb is to keep your rim size under half of your tire size, so you need 40's to wheel 20's. I break the rule, but only slightly w 17s and 33's.

You going to spacer/adaptors or new wheels? What size tires you aiming for?

You're going to wheel with 20" chrome rims?

Put on your flame suit.

Dude there are junk yards in Spokane, I've been there. :angry whip:

Did you put the 20s on the truck? If so where are your stock wheels? :angry whip:

Welcome.

Just wondering if your actually taking it offroad why would you want to f-up the SS wheels? They are goin to get scratched anyway so why not make the stockers that get scratched? I'm just assuming also since your 'here' that you do plan on offroading. Or is it just for looks? Are you gettin a tire for the 20's that will handle offroad terrain?

To me it would make more sense to put the stockers on, sell the 20's and get a decent tire for the stock wheels or find new smaller wheels... but thats just me.

Just make sure you keep enough of an emergency fund to fix stuff that might break and strand you on the trail, then. I was out of work, the steel belts on the 32" Procomps that got used on the Rubicon in 2008 were showing, and I managed to get some 1/3 tread 33" BFGs (8) and two steelie rims for spares for $220 or 240. So I could limp around and follow Teebes until I got back to work and get a proper new set.

What would you be looking at for a bill if you tore the sidewall on one of your nicey-nice 20's? Could you find just one, or would that trigger a need for a pair? I don't know what your tread is like.

With 20's though, you'll just never know the pure JOY of airing down. Zero was a virgin to airing down until I INSISTED he try it. :poke:

Well right now i am running 285/50/20 (fairly large sidewall) Cooper Zeon LTZ. They are a very aggressive A/T tire. And for a new one they run about $175.

And to answer what most of you are trying to ask me, is yes i will be taking it off road but nothing extreme like most off you. Just some back county mountain roads to get to some fishing holes and very small river crossings.

I just want a little extra ground clearance with the lift to help clear over some high bumps in the road.
