Greetings... I am new to this Outstanding site for modifying my newly acquired '05 Trailblazer LT with a G80 and 4.10's. My problem is all this information has put me into overload. I am currently amassing the parts to make my Trailblazer more trail worthy. The more I read the more confused I become. Maybe I am having a senior moment but I cannot filter through the mass of information to narrow down what I need. Here is my plan, first complete front end rebuild ( I want a known good starting point) Upper/Lower control arms and ball joints, new Hubs. Install a 2.5" lift from MarkMC (just arrived) and using either 255/75/17's or 265/65/17's not sure about pluses or minuses with either. Do I flip upper control arms? This is my weekend fishing/hunting toy, so no climbing over boulders just nice desert road driving, sandy roads, rocky trails etc, with a nice drive there and back. So any input would be greatly appreciated.

Flip them. Rest sounds good and tires are a personal choice. I would always take a wider tire myself.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Thank you... I will post photos when done. Removed the running boards, gave them to my brother for his Trailblazer. Just added a large trans cooler (Hayden). it will take a couple of weeks to get all items on hand then I will have a fun filled weekend installing the lift (flipping control arms) and all the rest of the components. Do you think i will need wheel spacers with both tire options?

Well I am done (for the moment) with my new toy. In review it is a 2005 TB LT with 4.2 4.10 gears with a G80, in the past couple of months I have changed all fluids, installed new coils and plugs. New upper control arms flipped of course, added a Hayden trans cooler, installed a 2 1/2 inch lift from Markmc, installed 1.5" Bora spacers (Marks shop was flooded at the time) new 265/70/17 Kelly AT tires. Add recovery items tow strap, air pump, etc etc.
