I seem to recall BartonMD talking about the torque converter for the 5.3 not generating the heat that the I6 does. That should mean the tranny potentially has a longer lifespan, that is another plus.

Well, a Trailblazer converter is recommended as a cheap stall to drag racing guy's, so it must have a higher K factor.
