First time posting

Hey, guys!

I've been a member/lurker since March when I got my TB, but I figured now that I'm getting ready to start my mods I should introduce myself. I'm the proud owner of a 2008 TB LT 4x4 w/G80 and 3.73 gears. Right now it's bone stock but after doing my research here for about 8 months now (and of course finding the $$$ and time), I've finally started buying parts. So far I have Mark's 3" suspension lift and 1.5" wheel adapters to the 6x5.5 bolt pattern, Bilstein HD front shocks, and a set of 265/75/16E General Grabber AT2's mounted on ProComp series 97 steelies. Rear Z71 springs and front 88's are on their way. Ordering the BDS rear shocks next week. Hopefully I'll be taking it to get everything installed in the next two weeks. Will post pics when I do. Can't wait to hit the trails!

Welcome, bearcat90. Your build is very similar to what I've done with my '05 TB EXT, and I found the lift to be the best mod for trail running, especially with my longer wheelbase. Don't forget to securely hose clamp the CV boots when you lift it, as they are prone to slipping off at the steeper axle angle, which can allow crap in to eat up the CV. I got a super deal on Motomaster Total Terrain AT2 LT265/75/16E tires for my '04 Sierra 3500 this morning, Canadian Tire had them on sale for $130(CDN) each, regular $210. Can't beat that!

Thanks backroader! Good call with the CV boots. I forgot about that.

Do you guys think it would benefit me to flip my upper control arms while I have the struts apart? I know alot of folks here did but I'm not adding any more than the 3" suspension lift.

I have a 3" and I went ahead and flipped mine. It really seemed to help with the UBJ angle...

I'm also running marks 3" by itself and I flipped mine over. My UBJs were maxing under articulation and I was scared they would break off. Flipping them helped alot though. I'd recommend it if you're already taking the stuff apart.
