I want to do a bunch of modifications to it so I joined to see about some tips and to read some of your stories to get some ideas from your experiences. I really want to lift it and put some all terrains on it but I dont know where to start. I hear that a suspension lift is out because of the oil pan issue. I was interested in the spacers but I dont know where to start. I would hate to put something on my vehicle and find out it was the worst brand, part, reviews, etc. I want a bit more clearance so i can take it off road and have some fun with it; I live in Arizona and sedona is gorgeous. Id love to take it on the red rocks up there to get to some hiking spots. I just dont know where to begin. Id love some inupt, tips, pros, cons, and whatever you guys can throw my way. Im not a car guy, Im not car savvy, but I want to learn the stuff I need to know about first step lifting my vehicle. I dont want a body lift kit i know that much.
Welcome! I can tell you from experience that the best thing for you to do is continue looking around and decide what modifications you want to do,and research it alot. the order you do your mods is also however you choose to do it. however, based on what you said your interests are, I would reccomend a lift and bigger tires first. make sure you do your homework before you get involved in it! you need to research you gear ratios, tire sizes etc. it's your truck, so make it yours! I'm wondering what you mean about the suspension lift and the oil pan though, because I have a 3 inch suspension lift right now! It's only a leveling kit though, if you're thinking of an 8 inch pickup truck lift kit, no we don't have those. what we have are spacers that go on the front struts and rear coil springs to raise the truck. I believe the 3 inch lift is the Max for a TB. but that's plenty to get bigger tires under there, which is obviously even more lift! anyway, welcome to the club!
