I used a razor blade to cut my plactic liners and bumpers. It went through like butter. I cant imagine cutting that with a sawzall. I made my first metal cuts with a 6 inch hacksaw at Carlisle. Just keep cutting til they dont rub, then cut some more, because as wide as you sit, it will rub up high inside of the fender like mine prolly when you flex it out. I ended up cutting the out fender metal and adding an extra inch of body lift to avoid rubbing because of the width more than because of height.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

As far as steel bumper goes, your best bet is custom... it'll be alot cheaper and you can adress flaws as you go, instead of paying like 500+ for a bumper to mod it.

Wow, another one from Jersey...

We need to make up a member map, just to see where where our population center is.

That black one is mine. Here's the build thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9

I was going to do a full custom job, but was quoted more than I ended up paying (from Kennesaw + customization). The other issue with a full custom bumper is time. If you're able to let your truck sit at the fabricator's shop for a week, do it. I couldn't.

Wow James, I'm pretty jealous of that bumper. Looks awesome. Just wish I had the money for one haha

Is the rubbing that you are experiencing a product of tire on bumper fascia or tire on the black plastic wheel well liner? My tires rubbed on the black plastic wheel well liner while in reverse a lot at first. I corrected that by pushing the plastic as far forward as I could, holding it in place with a bolt. Worked out perfectly.

Mines a product of wheel to bumper rubbing. If you get down there and look you can see a nice, clean spot on the inside of my bumper where the tires have been catching it. Also when i stick my head out the window and cut the wheels in reverse, i can actually see the bumper getting pushed up by the lugs on my tires.

Well, you could just do what i'm doing and buy an extra bumper and cut that up, so it doesn't matter. that your cutting a good bumper.

Yea I'm still not sure what i want to do yet though. I don't know if I want to get a spare and chop it up, or if I wanna just wing it and see what happens lol.
Like i said before though it's not really an urgent issue for me. I plan on getting 33's and a 3in body lift soon so I think im gonna just wait untill then to see weather it still rubs or not.
