A v8 would be nice but i haven't seen one in the want adds. also with that it will also be my daily driver so gas milage is somewhat important. .

The V8s are harder to find. From the comments I have read, the difference in gas mileage between the V8 and I6 is negligible.
You get a little better HP stock, more low end torque and a beefier rear axle with the V8. I expect you also have a lot more options for performance mods if that is of any interest.

I have a 2007 Suburban with the 5.3 and 3.73 gears and 32" tires. It gets pretty close to the same gas mileage as what my I6 (3.42 gears 32" tires) TB gets. I seem to average about 15MPG in mixed driving with both.

All that being said, with your stated mission, if you find an I6 that you love, I wouldn't pass it over. It is a great platform and you can upgrade the other items if your goals change later.

I have been lurking for a while and you guys have helped me fix things on my truck and have given me inspiration to tackle things on my trucks.

Especially the roadie who gave me the idea to take my air suspension off of my truck in the first place. Although I did ignore him the first time, I paid for it, figuratively and literally.... but I can say that this time I did it myself and came out $800 ahead by just spending $30 bucks on junkyard factory springs.

Now I want to lift it just 2-3 inches as a few times I have wanted to just park my truck in certain spots just to get away from the regular people in parking areas.....

I will take a wrench to anything, but never really had any guidance as the how in doing so..... and now I do.

Plus I love these little trucks......

Ya I'm guilty of it myself, haven't posted jack on here... I did however install bds lift w/fox's in the rear and bilsteins up front and mounted my 32" mud terrains... Did a bunch of other stuff but it's more of a restoration from northern New York weather and neglect... Hubs, discs, pads, links, amsoil all around, I'm actually a sales rep now.. Walked Into the only place locally that sells it and the guy brain ninja'd me into becoming a licensed amsoil distributor... Anyone else have that happen?? Oh I still have a trans cooler sitting in the box that needs to go in...

I don't recall the # of posts required to post an ad.
This is a community for enthusiasts to share. We've had folks join just to sell an item, never contribute anything meaningful and leave. In some cases they stir up trouble on their way out the door. The post count limit was enacted to help discourage that behavior.

To add to Navigators post, "enthusiast" and "community" being key. If you're not interested in being a part, sell your stuff on CL and eBay. Folks here know how to find deals. We're not here to be a place for you to get your stuff in front of my eyeballs. The Classifieds are really meant to be leveraged by members who have been around contributing and being a part of the community.

It makes it a safer place to buy as well, when one of us who's been posting for awhile wants to sell something, than some random stranger who just joined. We have no idea if you're a person or some guy in russia looking to clean out a members paypal.
