Hello Kenny! Not sure what coast you're on, but you're welcome on here by me... The mods will be the judge of whether your cousin platform can be on here, but I'm confident there'll be no problem. Once again, welcome to the site!

Welcome aboard! How's the front diff on your Colorado? Hopefully no where near as bad as our platforms horrible IFS setup. Got any pics around so we can

Welcome! Glad to see word of our site getting out to other platforms too. If you check on the trail rides/trips section and click on TECORE II, you'll see the East Coast offroaders big trip pics and stuff. We plan to do that twice a year. Haven't started planning the next one as of yet, because we just got back. However, I am assuming it'll be late April, or early May, but don't quote me on that. James Downing (one of the developers of this site) is our East Coast guru, and he's from Maryland too. I'm sure he'll check in soon, to welcome you. Look forward to seeing some pics too. :thumleft: :thumright:

On second thought, I think JD might be on his honeymoon, or is busy with final touches on wedding (forget what day he was getting married), but he'll chime in eventually....

Welcome!! .. I'm sure not many will have a problem with the Colorado's here!! And if they do, their probably just jealous they can't carry a dirt bike in the back of their TB/EV. :shoot:

Would love to see some pics of your front suspension, I haven't been around a Colorado yet to check them out, but I've heard they have the same spec front strut with a different attachment at the bottom, if so You may have a coilover option here soon too :awesome:

Speaking of coilovers, I received a lil box in the mail today!! :excited: .... I know, Now I gotta get back to work! :angry whip:

Just for fun, I looked up some exploded parts views. Rear leaf suspension - drum brakes.

Very wide front diff intermediate shaft, with a beefy disconnect on one side. But mounted in a very nice way to be relocated down with brackets.

Image

Short CV shafts, but who cares if the diff can be lowered? Torsion bars - traditional (not our custom) shock mounts.

Image

Straight tie rod ends, not our weaker curved ones, but the rack is in front of the axles, not behind like ours.

I've found two different platforms for the Colorado, one has a strut and one has the torsion bar, Not sure what else is different between the two..

Wonder if we could use their front diff in our rig??

Hehe. 2WD (SPORT ZQ8, STANDARD Z85) uses the strut. Z71 4WD uses torsion bars.

Man that looks SWEET..

I would have to admit, I really like the lines on these trucks, I was very close to getting one instead of the TB, but they didn't have a 4door available!!!

I'll probably be looking for a 4-door V8 4wd one of those when I look for my next car... I love the lines of the truck, and almost picked up one of those orange ones, but couldn't stand the I5 engine.

That sir is one nice Colorado!

I love those trucks... almost got one instead of the TB, but at the time of looking I couldn't find one in my area that I wanted. Thats pretty much how I pictured mine to look like had I gotten one.
