As long as there's pics later, then I don't suppose I need to repost the site motto.

Welcome, and can't wait to see pics... did you get the Mule or the MegaMule?

Interesting, it wouldn't hang out past the mirrors though would it?

Mega Mule would stick out just a little past the rack rails. Not much at all. Would actually work out where you would only need spacers to level it along the rails in order to mount it. Might get away without using cross bars...

I just had to look this up

Baja Rack "THE MEGAMULE " roof rack

The MEGA mule rack was created for those of you that need more cargo volume in a light weight rugged gear basket. Just like the mule, it comes with an aluminum wind deflector. It mounts to most shapes of factory racks, including Yakima's and Thule's crossbars, or factory roof rack to mount this on. Measures 64" long, by 48" wide, and is 7.25" tall. Weighs 51 lbs. http://www.trdparts4u.com

Baja Rack "THE MULE" roof rack (BR-MULE6)

The mule rack was designed as a rugged aerodynamic gear basket. It's lightweight and comes with an aluminum wind deflector. It mounts to most shapes of factory racks, including Yakima's and Thule's crossbars, and Toyota's cargo crossbars for the bed of the 2005-2009 Tacoma. You must have the above listed roof racks, or factory roof rack to mount this on. Measures 48" long, by 39" wide, and is 6.00" tall. Weighs 38 lbs.

Not a problem guys. That's one, one up, for someone if your quick about it. It would look sweet. :thumright:

I was looking at a similar product, about the same measurements as the Mega Mule. According to my measurements, the Mega Mule would mount VERY close to the back of the roof rack light bar, but clear it, and be just clear of the rear hatch when raised. Not a lot of overhang from the sides. I'd like to see one mounted to really make it worth while....

If I recall, I went with the mule because I wanted versatility... wanted to be able to use the roof lights by themselves... but now i question that call... I only use the lights with the basket really...

And if I recall, the mega would have taken over the lightbar space... so you'd have to integrate the lights into the basket. They even sell a kit for that.

I need to get the owner of BajaRack over here as a vendor!...

Yep...they should come onboard as a vendor. I'd sell my black widow to get a Mule, as long as the price is right...

I agree with the BajaRack owner sentiment... get him here as a vendor! :viking: And hopefully I'll be the first one here to get a MegaMule, as soon as I get the credit cards paid off. :angry whip:
