I started off small, added a surco roof rack and 42 inch led light bar.

I was able to score a mile marker push/winch guard for free. I installed that using the tow mounts on the front. The tow mounts also add extra support for the lower radiator mounts. I also used 1/4 x 2 flat stock to brace the upper portion cutting just what was needed to fit through the bumper cover and to the bumper bolt on top. No pics sorry.

I ditched the mile marker push/winch guard and traded for an iron cross winch bumper for a 05-13 Tacoma. Width was no problem and I reengineered the design to fit the trailblazer.

Next I ordered the rtt. A smittybilt overlander 2783. Used a few times, then sold due to getting a deal on the overlander xl.

I searched around and got a rear swing for free. I built a substructure under the bumper cover and the swing went through a couple transformations before I settled.

I went to Michigan to visit family and stopped in at Nate’s house. Jarren, Nate and I sat around drank beer and installed the lift.

I built a little storage system in the rear that has helped on the trail a lot.

I built a set of sliders

I changed out my load adjustable shocks for rancho shocks from a 2017 gmc dually.

Finally decided to do a rear bumper, dual swing arms.

I use a tablet for my gps. I mounted it using go pro mounts.

Next up is the snorkel build. I got a cheap snorkel kit for a Landcruiser 80 series. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B90PP ... ref=plSrch For the intake I chose a f150 filter housing. I lined up the template to the snorkel, it is wrong so i modified the template and then marked and drilled my holes. I went larger then the specific hole for the intake. After mounting the snorkel I realized that I could tweak it to fit the body better. I marked and redrilled the holes and finished the install.

The air ram has slits in which the water is supposed to seap out of when raining and what not, they were not rat enough up the snorkel so I had to cut them a little further up. The metal mount by the windshield had to be extended since this is not a perfect fit, by an inch. I modified the filter housing,

by cutting it 3 inches shorter.

I also cut the plastic piece near the maf to mate the filter housing

. I eliminated the vortec box(not sure of tech term) on top of the engine. I rerouted the crank case vent as well

, also I still have functional ac and room for my second battery. I also installed a winch.

Yesterday and today’s task was to build some skids. I built lower control arm skids from 1/4 inch aluminum plate.

I also built a oil/radiator skid today. From 3/8 6061 aluminum plate.

Added bilstein b8 5100 struts and 81114 springs today

Changed the intake to a smaller filter housing allowing more room in the engine bay.
