I DON'T care what my GMT360 was designed to do, I care about what it can do!

Finally was able to get my wheels Plasti-Dipped. I really like black wheels, but wasn't enthused about the permanence of painting them. I also like that if you mess up the Plasti-Dip, it's "No harm, no foul". Peel it off and do it again, or not.

If there is one thing I can't stand, it's extraneous wires running all around the dash. Sound Feeder, GPS, phone chargers, etc. That is the main reason why I settled on this head unit. It removes both the Sound Feeder wire, and charger for the iPod. It also frees up one of the 12v plug-ins as well. I may got scoffed at by the audiophiles, but whatever. I was able to score this unit(XML 8100) from Amazon for $33.??. I also picked up the GM antenna adaptor, wiring adaptor, and plastic install kit, as well. All of this cost under $60.00. One thing I will say about the head unit, it was a PITA to install. It is a little bigger, I'm assuming, than a standard single DIN head unit. The plastic install kit had to be heavily modified with a Dremel. I also wasn't able to get it to sit all the way in. There is about a half inch gap between the trim ring and the plastic install kit. All in all, it doesn't look too bad though.

This is how the unit looks when closed.

This is how it looks when opened, allowing the iPod to plug-in.

Now, I just have to get the GPS hardwire kit installed, and finish up the LED's on the manual HVAC unit, and doorswitches

NOTE: The CEL is only on because the key was turned on, but the truck wasn't running.
