I bought the TB in 2005 from US , i shipped it to Italy and registered it there ( in that period i was living in Milan )... Just after that i installed ICOM LPG system , which was the most advanced LPG system , it delivers the gas in a liquid form (the gas stays in liquid form at -40 degrees Celsius ) in the engine and this will give 10% more power (3500 Euro including mounting ) . When they mounted the LPG tank they were not thinking that i might want to go off-road some day and they put it in the place of the spear tire , under the truck with 4 screws .This was not a good idea ... In the past 4 years i broke those screws several times . Than i mounted bigger tires with the idea of having more clearance for the gas tank 265/65/17 but i was still hitting the rocks with it and i realized that i need a lift kit . I made some spacer blocks from a special hard plastic to put them under the rear springs , 2.5" big and i made other blocks that i mounted on top of the front struts with the same height .. Immediately after i mounted the lift blocks i saw that the front cv joints where making noises when i was hitting bumps or holes in the road and i understood that i did something wrong . Than i ordered a 3" lift kit from MarcMc , wheel spacers , new Bilstein front struts , new rear shocks from Pro Comp 2" longer .. and thanks to Mark i ordered also other parts that i needed to change , like radiator , manifold , front diff left axle seal (this one i think that broke because of my hand made front lift that was allowing the axles to bend more than they should ) , filter and gasket for the transmision... All this parts are very expensive here in Europe and some of them are impossible to find so thanks again Mark for all your help..
In the mean time i took the gas tank from under the truck and i mounted it in the trunk , for even more ground clearance ...
Here is the gas tank under the car :
