Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Need a new rear end

G80, GU6, GT4, GT5, WTF? This section is for gearing and driveline stuff.

Doubt you can ship it for the price difference to what he finds local. I have my 3.73 g80 rear in my barn as well, but would not ship it and even at half as far as that one I doubt he can justify a pick-up for the local pricing.

--Plus it comes pre-broken...

So if the g80 is available I should prob go for that then. I've been in some wild situations In the river bottoms and had tires off the ground before. Lesson learned quick that day lol.
But I'll be calling and going to get one this weekend and get it thrown on. And then see what else I need replaced

Yeah the ones I'm finding are 45 mins away. With a good selection of parts.

You can use a little brake pedal with the G86, but I would go for a G80 myself. I have a perfectly functioning G86 in a box, carrier and all, because I wanted a locker in my 9.5.

If only 4.10 stuff was that common. I did source a 4.10 rear out of Effingham, Ill that I'll be picking up on Saturday for a decent price.

Def recommend getting the 8.6 rear in your case, easy swap and you get the bonus strength. The G80 won't handle a ton of offroad abuse, but for what you describe, it will be fine and better than an open carrier.

Wow, they gave you everything but the rotors/calipers and cables, not a bad price at all.

I'm putting it in my 2002 tb. And I'm going to start on it in a few hours. Going going to change the fluid first and waiting on fedex for new brakes and what not too
