Is this it, YG GM 7.2-456R ? Because there's a few floating around and I'd like to grab a set, but everything says they don't fit the Trailblazer lol

No, I think there has to be an IFS in the part number. R I think signifies a rear axle. If you have trouble, look for compatability with the S10 ifs.

Crossing it with the S10/15 Astro, that is the part number for their front diff. The "R" must mean reverse?

Sorry, looks like you are right. I could have sworn mine said IFS in the part number when I ordered. Maybe that was my nitro gear set.

As far as I know, Yukon is the only one who ever made 4.56's for our diffs, and they've discontinued them.
I checked their site and don't see anything listed, although I did contact them regarding a Spartan locker, since they make those for some pretty oddball applications

My first front 456 gears were Nitro. The fact that they broke, however, had nothing to do with their quality. I would buy them again. USA Standard, from all reports are made by Youkon gears but might be a bit noisier than Youkons, but I've never seen a 456 front usa standard for us listed. I do have USA Standard in my rear axle.

Sierra gears also makes 4:56 for our front, that's the best price/place I could find when I had 3 or 4 cancelations trying to get a set from other vendors.
