disconnect problems... yay

G80, GU6, GT4, GT5, WTF? This section is for gearing and driveline stuff.

Well I noticed a rattle in the front end that had not been there (until my fiancee drove in the last snow storm)
Since I had to do oil and plugs I started to explore the front end and ended up pulling the front disconnect... now this is where it got weird. It looks fine other than one minor thing... the outer seal and bearing(s?) are GONE.
Anyone ever had/heard of that? I've read about them being bad, but completely gone?
Also looking at the diagram in James' writeup (phone wont let me link)
I need parts #1&#2, so I need 2 #2s for the outer case?

Edit: fixed my "smart" phone auto-corrections

Yes, the outer case has 2 bearings in it. And one oil seal.

Thank you. Thats what I thought, but I didn't want to buy a $15 bearing if it wasn't needed.

$15 for a disconnect bearing!? I just picked up a set from rockauto.com for $5 and change, each.

The local supplier here, (non-chain) got about 16 per bearing when Josh and I rebuild his disco. If you want it same day, you gotta pay.

Bearings were $15.00 each. Like Dave said, if you want it right away.. you've gotta pay.
But my hopes of it just being a afternoon project were shot down after finding the outer thrust washer... all 6 pieces.
Dealer was already closed. So I'll have to go Monday and more than likely have to order it
