Im new so I will give you all the low down on the task at hand. Would appreciate any ideas or issues foreseen by some tb owners.

-going back to old school chevy side front diff
-dana 60 and 14bolt 5.38 gears spools front and rear
-hydro steering
-1/2 ton chevy springs (Thanks To Chevycrew)
-Dana 300 case and adpters to 4l60e

Exhaust is on the passenger side, lots of lift needed to clear a more centered chevy diff under the oil pan, low pinion, short front driveshaft with 300, etc, etc. Plan well, build once.

That's going to be alot more lift then even I have and I have tons on mine.

easy guys Im taking the exhaust from the manifold straight 90 out the inner fender well and down the outside of the frame. And thanks chevycrew Im going with the 52" chevy springs also

Ive been thinking I have to build my own oil pan. has anyone found a rear sump?

If you run the exhaust outside the frame your passenger front tire will rub on the exhaust when turning to the right.

Yes rear sumps are available, last I heard, neighborhood of $600.

52" springs will work well, just have to build your lift into the hangers, depending on the tire size you want to run.

Also on the pan, I will find out what the flange cost will be let you know. Since it will already be programmed in to cut.
