I'm confused at the purpose of this thread... seems like this should just be a post in the chat thread.

Agreed. All we end up with is a cluttered forum if each of a thousand of us posts one thread when we get a single part for a build. And then another one for installing the part.

How about consolidating things into a build thread, where you collect the parts (we all know what they look like) then install them, then WHEEL it. That's what we're missing nowadays - trail reports! You'd think it was winter someplace or another. :angry whip:

This is a tech forum. As long as all relevant topics are already covered, less threads can be a GOOD thing.

It makes searching for information much easier for people.

It also makes questions and topics on NEW ideas and innovations easier to spot.

One of the big problems with a certain old site was that it became very difficult to find good information on there because of all the "noise." We'd like to avoid that here.

Ok cool I see your point and it makes sense. I was just excited as well when the part came in and wanted to share it.

Jim, create a build thread to track your progress in. We'll all see the new updates when they come in.
In mine I did something silly like show the shipping progress of my parts coming in etc.
Just make sure your first post follows the guidelines, the rest is wide open.
The other part is build threads help others. We realize everyone can't justify building TB to run 35's but your goals
and build might be similar to someone else and help them along the way.

Or post in the chat thread. The chat thread was made for the clutter and noise. Threads in the "lounge" Don't show up on searches and can't be seen by non-members.
